How is that for an exciting week in the US grain business – scary times for speculators in the grain futures business. Corn prices dropped by about USD 14 m/t, soybeans down by more than USD 25 m/t, soymeal not too bad as only down by USD 5 m/t, winter wheat down by at least USD 15 m/t and US spring wheat down by about USD 10 m/t.......please click PDF to see more details

As usual, the big news this week was the USDA WASDE report results. We ended the week with corn prices up by about USD 6 m/t, soybeans higher by USD 10 m/t, winter wheat up by about USD 15 m/t and spring wheat up by USD 10 m/t. In the US, wheat was the strongest item this week as all wheat moved higher --- winter wheat was up as much as USD 13 m/t with spring wheat up by about USD 5 m/t. Corn prices too were up, also by about USD 5 m/t while new crop US soybeans dropped by about USD 5 m/t.......please click PDF to see more details
