Today Comments:
The new-season Peruvian super prime fishmeal is being pre-sold at a reference price of USD 1,900 per ton (CNF), down USD 50 per ton, with actual transaction prices subject to negotiation.

On the imported fishmeal RMB cash market, cargo moving out of Chinese ports is slow, and the price of Peruvian super prime fishmeal at ports has dropped by RMB 100 per ton today , with actual transactions negotiated.

In the short term, the fishmeal market is expected to show a stronger willingness to follow price trends, and attention should be paid to the upcoming Peruvian fishing policy announcements.

As for soybean meal, recently, imports of soybeans have increased significantly, and oil mills are operating at a high capacity. As a result, SBM production is substantial, and high inventory levels will limit its RMB price upside.

The market is optimistic about the resumption of soybean trade between China and the United States, and the improved supply outlook in the later period is expected to weaken oil mills’ motivation to support soybean meal prices. Consequently, the upside potential for RMB-denominated soybean meal prices in the forward market will be limited.
