Today’s Commentary:
Peruvian fishmeal available for sale remains extremely limited, and prices continue to stay firm. The current pre-sale reference price for Peru’s new-season Super Prime is US$3,100/MT CNF level.
Fishing in Peru’s North-Central region has been suspended, with the industry awaiting the latest fish stock assessment results.
In China’s imported fishmeal market, inventories continue to decline, and RMB-denominated prices are expected to remain firm.
As the aquaculture season is now at its peak, the RMB price spread between soybean meal and rapeseed /canola meal has narrowed significantly. The improved cost competitiveness of Soybean Meal has led to increased substitution for Rapeseed Meal, further reducing demand for rapeseed meal in aquafeed formulations.
On 30 June 2026, the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) announced that, effective immediately, China has officially opened its market to poultry meat products imported from Serbia.
