2) Today’s Price Indication (23 September 2026)

Today’s Commentary:

 Peruvian fishmeal producers are currently not actively offering prices. The reference pre-sale price for Super prime at CNF USD 3,450/MT level with actual transaction prices subject to negotiation.

In China’s imported fishmeal market, inventories at China main ports have declined slightly recently, mainly due to limited arrivals. Most fishmeal traders are currently taking a wait-and-see approach. Limited supply of Peruvian fishmeal is supporting RMB prices, while weak demand is constraining actual transactions.

Meat and bone meal: The newly revised Administrative Measures for Inspection and Quarantine of Imported and Exported Feed and Feed Additives will come into effect on November 1, 2026. Under the new regulations, feed raw materials intended for processing and not for direct feeding to animals will be permitted to be imported in bulk. Going forward, such products can be imported in bulk without the previous requirement to undergo bagging and corrective processing.

Per regulation, Salmonella if found is not subject to retesting. This year, the Guangdong Customs authorities detected Salmonella levels exceeding the applicable limits in approximately 30% of imported consignments, with the vast majority involving MBM.

We are urged overseas MBM producers to strengthen source control and transportation hygiene to prevent contamination throughout the production and logistics processes.
