China domestic fishmeal is fresh and low TVN which is already popular being accepted by large feed makers in China.

Major qualifies as below:
Super grade: 66-68% protein, 15% Ash, TVN < 300
Standard grade: 64-66% protein, TVN < 500
Lower grade: 62-65% w/o TVN guaranteed

The reason why year 2016 domestic fishmeal production is much lower at about 400,000 mt.
This is because Chinese government is doing the reformation (focus on Environment Protection) and most of small /not qualified fishmeal factories have been closed. . During the reformation, some factories operation is suspended. Government’s actions are still proceeding as below:
1. Limit the number of fishing boats
2. Post Fishing ban: 1/May - 1/Sept annually
3. Reduce the number of factory: In considering of exhausted fish resources which is not allowed small /families style FM factory exist, all has to be shut down.
4. Expecting a low production year (less than 450,000 mt FM) in 2017 .
