Well what do you know --- a down week for soybeans and soymeal --- we haven’t seen that too often lately. Soybeans dropped by as much as USD 15 mt while soymeal was down by just over USD 20 m/t. This week was a USDA WASDE week which can make daily prices somewhat suspect --- prices move around a lot just before the report then quickly try adjust as soon as the report is issued. Hammersmith Weekly Feed Grain and Protein Report Wk#08

The week ended with prices moving up on Friday, which changed most items from lower prices to steady on the week or a little lower. Corn prices did drop by a couple of dollars but that is nothing in the market while both soybeans and soymeal ended up almost unchanged on the week. Only USA wheat prices stayed lower all week with winter wheatdown by about USD 7 m/t with spring wheat
