How was that for an exciting week for prices – both cash and futures – while prices did slip a little on Friday we still ended up with a very strong week: corn was up by almost USD 10 m/t with soybeans up by USD 18 m/t and soymeal up by over USD 20 m/t. Wheat too had an up week, not quite as far up but still up: soft red winter wheat was up by USD 5 m/t with hard red winter up by close to USD 12 m/t even spring wheat was dragged a little higher as it was up by about USD 2 m/t.........please click PDF to see more details

This is a holiday weekend in the US with Monday being Memorial Day – a day of remembrance for the US Armed Forces. This week was another week of higher prices for both futures and cash markets --- corn was up by about USD 9 m/t with soybeans up by just over USD 3 m/t and soymeal up by about USD 6 m/t --- wheat was also up with winter wheat up by close to USD 9 m/t and spring wheat up by just under USD 7 m/t........please click PDF to see more details

Quite a rally in US futures and cash prices this week with corn up by USD 10 to 12 m/t, soybeans up by about USD 5 m/t and soymeal up by USD 7 m/t. So, this week was the week of the USDA WASDE report – looks like bearish, bearish and bearish as almost everything moved lower on the week: corn prices dropped by almost USD 8 m/t, Soybeans were lower by USD 12 m/t, soymeal was also down by USD 12 m/t, winter wheat was about USD 5 m.t lower while the only exception to lower prices was US spring wheat which managed to move about USD 1 m/t higher.......please click PDF to see more details.

Corn futures prices were up about USD 4 m/t on the week while soybean prices continued lower – dropping by almost USD 9 m/t – soymeal to was down by about USD 6 m/t.
